Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc. Acquires the Assets of Hyland Seeds

It was recently announced that Dow AgroSciences Canada would be acquiring the assets of Hyland Seeds. An agreement was reached and on December 31, 2009, Hyland Seeds officially became a division of Dow AgroSciences Canada.

The addition of Hyland Seeds will further expand Dow AgroSciences’ current seed business as the company anticipates the introduction of SmartStax hybrids in 2010 and Dow AgroSciences Herbicide Tolerant Trait Technology in corn in 2012.  As well, Hyland will now have access to new science and technology that was previously unavailable, allowing us to expand our already strong portfolio of products.
