Thompsons Limited
Marketing
In 1970, a grain trading division was established at Thompsons' head office in Blenheim. The expansion gave the company the advantage of marketing its own grain. Thompsons' network of elevators in key agricultural areas throughout Ontario and the northern United States enables the trading department to monitor significant developments in crop production and local market conditions.
Marketing success is built on integrity. Our company can claim over 80 years of honourable, straightforward business ventures. Consequently, our traders are free to work with the knowledge that any deal is backed by a solid reputation.
Thompsons is a major supplier of corn to Canada's starch, distilling, sweetener, and animal feed industries. Ontario corn is recognized amongst the best in the world and Thompsons is a leading trader of this corn to markets in Canada and the United States.
We supply cereal grains to millers in Canada and the United States who demand specific grain characteristics. With precision sizing and processing equipment at its elevators, Thompsons has developed and expanded this quality-driven market.
Thompsons and Hyland Seeds are active in new ventures and new markets based on research, technology and customer satisfaction. We continue to hold strong the same honest, personable relationship with our customers that the founder based his modest business on more than 80 years ago.
The family tradition continues.
